I think my sister is a Looney Tunes character. Allow me to explain.

About fifteen minutes ago, I explained to her that our parents had gone out to pick up some clothes from the tailor, and that I would be in the bathroom, so she should not worry if she does not find anyone when she gets out of the shower. Of course, I had to establish myself as the current rule enforcer, so I also added “and you should be in bed in 20 minutes.”

“No, 30”, came the reply, her usual sleeping time on schoolnights being 10:30.

“20”…

“No, its always 30”.

“Okay”, as I shut off the bathroom lights… MUAHAHAH!

“AIYYA! Please put the lights back onn!”

“Only if you agree to 20”

“No, its 30”

“Fine”, I said as I walked away.

“Okay okay, 20, just put the lights back on”, came the requisite reply.

As I put the lights back on, I said… “and remember, 30!”

“Noooo! TWENTY!”

… … … … … …

And you thought those cartoons were just imaginary. Hmpfh

P.S: Tormenting your little sister is way number 6.

WHERE IS TUMBLARITY?!

UFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.

Stupid Facebook influence.

Well now reblogging you doesn’t raise your tumblarity! Shocking. Because God knows you need help to raise those pathetically low levels.

But of course.

Sheikh Issa bin Zayed al-Nahyan was filmed some time last year, torturing an Afghani grain dealer.

Sheikh Issa is the brother of the current ruler of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa al-Nahyan.

Therefore it is safe to assume, and safer still to assert, that Sheikh Issa is a wealthy man. His reason for beating on, raping, and, of course, driving over, Mohammed Shah Poor? The man short changed the Sheikh in a grain deal.

Ego, my friends, is a powerful thing. But so, apparently, is medication. Yes, medication. Issa’s lawyer managed to have the Sheikh acquitted of all charges because of the defense that he was drugged up, and therefore could not be held responsible for his actions. Reasonable, right? Maybe. Maybe.

But take a look at this video. Be warned, it’s a tad graphic. There is a distinct lack of humanity involved.

Assuming you watched that video, as you really should have done, I want to make one thing very clear.

Yes, the Sheikh is Muslim. Yes, he is Arab. Yes, the UAE is a monarchy. But I honestly don’t think any of that accounts for the trial verdict. Perhaps the legal system is flawed (in fact, it probably is). But a man of his stature and wealth would likely have been acquitted in any legal system in the world. The video, while gruesome and deeply disturbing unfortunately doesn’t rule out the possibility of coercion, and mental state that renders one incapable of rational thought. And who in their right mind would want to testify against this man? Why do you think the tortured rolled over and said he accepted the Sheikh’s apology. He was paid a healthy amount of money, I’m sure. And when you’re in his financial state, you don’t jeopardize that chance.

I guess I’m just saying that it’s an odd world we live in. That we can do little about. But at least some of us are trying.

After you faceplant, please take heed, and learn to walk.

Faceplanting is painful, and stagnation is pitiful. Adapt, progress, and proceed.

Then, abandon your principles. Do that which you said you would not. Turn away, for a fleeting second, from what you know to be right, and succumb to your worldly desires. For how else does one learn to walk, then by faceplanting?

Establish early in your life certain immutable principles. Personally, they were motivated religiously, but religion is not the only possible source, though I may (and probably will) argue, it is the best.

When making lists, place no significance on the order that an item may be at, for its number says nothing about how important it may be.

For example, number 230 could be the most important thing on it.
